Diabeta is effective in treating type II diabetes, but not type I diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis. For optimal results, it is recommended to closely follow lifestyle recommendations made by the doctor. This drug tends to work best when used in combination with diet and exercise. The hypoglycemic drug is intended for use in adult patients. The use of Diabeta should be avoided in pediatric patients. Patients who are also taking Tracleer (bosentan) are advised against using Diabeta. Similarly, Diabeta should not be used together with insulin, as this may increase the risk of cardiovascular events.
