About the Accu-Chek Multiclix Lancets
Accu-Chek Multiclix Lancets are tiny needles used for collecting blood samples to test blood sugar levels in a blood glucose monitor. These diabetic lancets come in a drum of six lancets, which are inserted into your Accu-Chek Multiclix lancing device. This means you do not have to see or handle any sharp objects for quick, easy and safe loading and disposal. They have been designed to allow for virtually pain-free collection of blood samples from your fingertips. You can adjust the penetration depth on the lancing device from 0.5 to 5.5 to accommodate for your individual skin thickness and texture. These lancets come in a package of 102 or 204.
How to use
To use your Accu-Chek Multiclix Lancets, you must first insert a new lancet drum. A used drum has two red stripes and has a built-in safety block that stops you from inserting it again. This prevents any potential risks of infection or contamination. To insert a new drum, simply pull the cap off of the lancing device and insert a new lancet drum, with the blue ring first, into the lancing device. When the drum is inserted correctly, you will hear a click. Then replace the cap on the lancing device. To set the penetration depth, simply turn the dial until you reach your chosen penetration depth, which could be between 0.5 and 5.5. In order to obtain a blood sample, you must first prime your lancing device. To do this, you must press the priming button in as far as it will go and the lancing device is primed when a yellow dot appears in the transparent release button. You can now obtain a blood sample by putting the lancing device firmly against your fingertip and pressing the release button.
