Diabetics on a budget may consider making their own granola bars. There are many great recipes online for healthy alternatives to store bought granola bars.
To make vegetables more appealing try Hummus!
Consider apples or berries if reaching for a fruit option, making sure it is low in natural sugars.
Baking a batch of oatmeal cookies or muffins helps you take control of carb and nutrient levels.
