About the Accu-Chek Aviva Test Strips
Accu-Chek Aviva test strips or glucometer strips are small strips that are used for transferring your blood sample to your blood glucose meter in order to monitor your blood sugar levels. They allow you to maintain your diabetic treatment with accurate readings of your blood sugar levels from the comfort of your home. The small disposable strips are a key component in monitoring and controlling your diabetes. The glucometer strips are what delivers your blood to the blood glucose meter. Generally most meters only take one type of test strip. Some blood glucose meters however that take blood ketone strips as well, to test for ketone levels.
These diabetic strips have advanced accuracy with no coding required and come in packages of either 50 or 100 units.
How to use these glucometer strips
Accu Chek Aviva test strips deliver your blood sample to your Accu-Chek Aviva Blood Glucose Meter for an accurate reading of your blood sugar levels.
First you take your blood strips out of the container, making sure to check expiration date (only use if the expiration date has not passed yet) and insert the glucometer strip into your meter gold end first. The meter is ready when a small blood drop symbol appears on the screen. After lancing your fingertip put the end of the test strip against the drop of blood and let it fill the test strip. When enough blood has filled the test strip a small hourglass symbol will flash on the screen to show you that your meter is working. Your reading will be ready in five seconds, and then dispose of your used test strip safely.
Accu Chek Aviva test strips are for use together with your Accu Chek Aviva Blood Glucose Meter, lancing device, and lancets.Click to read more Click to read less
